“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”—― Mother Teresa (via justbesplendid)
“”The missionary heart: Care more than some think is wise. Risk more than some think is safe. Dream more than some think is practical. Expect more than some think is possible. I was called not to comfort or success but to obedience….There is no joy outside of knowing Jesus and serving him.”—Karen Watson, martyr, March 15, 2004 (via mrsamberapple)
I must be in the forest. My footsteps are silent. My voice echoes. I see the handiwork of God. The shadows are deep. The light, exquisite. I know that I am very very small, and that God is very very big.
Should I see a friendly face as I round the next corner, we’ll share our smallness and speak of His greatness.
I am but the tiniest vessel. There is no pouring out that cannot, will not, be replenished. Refilled to the perfect measure, then running over…by the Abundant, Infinite, Giver of Life Himself. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Me in frustration: “Most of the hair spray I buy has a number on it indicating it’s holding power. Usually I buy a four, sometimes an eight! This un-numbered spray must be about a one.”
“Oh,” my son said, “that explains the awesome hairdo yesterday.”
